Towing a Trailer

NO FURTHER BOOKINGS ARE BEING TAKEN FOR TRAILER TRAINING

If you passed your driving test on or after 1st January 1997 (including re-tests)  you are limited to vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes maximum authorised mass towing a trailer up to 750kgs, or a vehicle and trailer combination up to 3.5 tonnes MAM providing the MAM of the trailer doesn't exceed the unladen mass of the towing vehicle. You will need to pass an additional test in B+E if you wish to tow a caravan or trailer combination which exceeds these weight limits.

The car and trailer practical test (B+E) is based on the lorry driving test and lasts for approximatelyone hour.

Exceed can provide the tuition required for the test, or a refresher course for those who have the entitlement but have never towed before.

Our Instructor will cover all aspects of the DSA Trailer test to ensure you have all the information you need when you go for your test.

TRAINING WILL TAKE PLACE IN DARLINGTON, WHICH IS OUR NEAREST DSA (B+E) TEST CENTRE

Training Includes use of the Exceed Car (4x4) and Trailer

The majority of our customers pass their B+E test in just 6 hours!!!
Training is carried out by qualified DSA ADI who has had additional training to ensure you achieve the required standard.

Trailer test fee (week day) £115 (payable to DSA)

NB. If you tow a caravan or trailer without the relevant licence your Insurance may be invalid when towing. If stopped by the police you face the consequences of driving without a licence and insurance, can you afford the points on your driving licence?
